Priyashantha Tennakoon

He has completed his BSc Eng.(Hon’s) in Electrical and Information Engineering with a second class upper from the University of Ruhuna. After graduating he joined University of Moratuwa as a research assistant. Later, he joined Sri Lanka Technological Campus as a Lecturer and served two years. He is currently a doctoral student at  the  Center for Telecommunication Research  and Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique, Montreal, Canada under the supervision of Prof. Dushantha Nalin K. Jayakody and Prof Sofiéne Affes. Currently, He is engaged in research on Visible Light Communication (VLC) based Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT) scheme. He is an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) and Member of IEEE. Currently, he is working at the Faculty of Technology, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. His research interests are Visible Light Communication, Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer, optimization techniques for wireless resource allocation and Internet of things.
